A graduate of the University of Iowa, David Rettig brings over 30 years of home furnishings experience to the Phelan's team. An expert on case goods construction he has designed many successful solid wood piece including dining room, bedroom, and occasional furniture pieces along with clocks. David's extensive experience in the tourism and retail management will ensure that each customer will receive individualized service and attention. “I strive to make every visitors experience at Phelan’s memorable and pleasant. With 33 years in the fashion and interior design profession, Mary is proud to be associated with Phelan’s Interiors. Her background includes over 15 years as an Interior Designer and Store Manager for Ethan Allen. Mary has won numerous awards during her career including Ethan Allen’s “Circle of Excellence”, and Top Customer Service. “Let me take the challenge out of decorating your home. I am committed to making it a fun experience while creating the ambiance you envision your family and guests enjoying. Stacie joins the Phelan's team after a lengthy stay at the Great Furniture Mart. She earned her Interior Design degree at Iowa State University and is very excited to work with Phelan's customers to help them develop the perfect style for their home. "I like to provide design solutions that create each client's unique style, which reflects their taste and personality. I feel it is important for the space to look beautiful and function well. It gives me so much pleasure when I interpret my clients' dreams into the home they have always wanted." |

After eight years working in Residential Health Care here in Cedar Rapids, Alex decided to go back to school to follow his passion of interior design and graduated in May of 2009 from the Interior Design program at Kirkwood Community College. Before joining the Interior Design team at Phelan's Interiors Alex was the Store Manager and In-Home Designer at Interior Elements where he furthered his design knowledge/ style and thrived in customer service by meeting his clients needs 100%. “As a Designer It’s my personal goal to not only assist my clients in making their space beautiful but truly there ideal home. Every person has there own unique style and taste that makes them individuals and to me that’s what makes a home beautiful. It would be my pleasure to assist you in all your Interior Design needs and most importantly making your space your ideal home!” |

Kori joined our team of Residential Interior Designers in November of 2011. She brings with her an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as many fun ideas for your home. After graduating in 2010, from Kirkwood Community College’s Interior Design degree program, Kori worked as an Independent Design Consultant.

Joanne began her Phelan’s Interiors career in November of 1998 and worked as our receptionist until 2005. She then started part-time as the Residential Design Librarian where she is busy updating catalogs and fabrics from various Vendors and Manufacturers. Joanne is famous for her homemade cookies. She bakes a batch every Saturday that she works as our receptionist and lucky customers to the store on those Saturdays enjoy her creativity. Working part time has given Joanne the opportunity to travel. Her children live on the East Coast and they include her in their vacation plans so she has had the privilege of visiting some very interesting places. |
